SARLAHI, April 11 : A teenage girl died and another sustained injuries after a truck ran over a bicycle in Haripurwa Municipality-9, Mirchaiya Bazaar, along the Banke–Sangrampur road section on Tuesday.
According to District Police Office spokesperson DSP Saroj Rai, 17-year-old Anjali Mahato of Ishwarpur Municipality-13, Srinagar, died on the spot when the truck (Na 5 Kha 3858) struck the bicycle she was riding.

Another girl, 15-year-old Poojakumari Mahato, who was riding pillion, was injured in the incident. She is undergoing treatment at a local health facility, while the deceased’s body has been sent to Provincial Hospital Malangwa for post-mortem, police said.
The truck and its driver, 31-year-old Laxman Bishwakarma of Harion Municipality-10, Taiwan, have been taken into custody for further investigation.
