PM sets up fund in name of his mother

KATHMANDU, March 8: Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has provided Rs. 200,000 to the Dilli Bazaar-based Kanya Multiple Campus for the establishment of a revolving fund in the name of his mother, Dharma Kumari.



Prime Minister Bhattarai today provided the amount to Campus Chief Bholanath Regmi at the official residence of the Prime Minister, Baluwatar.



The fund is established in the campus with an objective of providing scholarship to meritorius students, the students from families with poor financial status and those from remote areas.



The Prime Minister provided the amount today as per his commitment expressed during a program marking the 33rd anniversary of the campus. The prime minister had said at the program that he will contribute the amount for the fund personally.The campus was established in 2037 BS.
