Pokhara, Kunming sign sister city accord

POKHARA, July 8: A sister city relation has been established between Pokhara Sub Metropolitan city and Kunming city of Yunan Province of China on Monday.



The bilateral agreement for mutual assistance was formalized in the presence of Pokhara Sub Metropolitan Chief Jhalakram Adhikari and Chief of Kunming city Lee Wengrang. The agreement was ratified after both the officials signed the agreement letter. [break]



"This agreement will embolden and enhance the bilateral help between the two cities and I truly believe that tourism sector will reap much benefit from it," said Wengrang.



During the agreement signing ceremony, Adhikari also expressed delight over the success of the bilateral agreement.



Adhikari informed that he has already presented the outline of three development projects for Pokhara city to Kunming city and they have agreed to lend their helping hand.
