KATHMANDU, Aug 27: Police have reported that 157 bodies have been recovered following the devastating flood in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa.
According to Nepal Police data released at 11:05 p.m. Wednesday, 3,318 police personnel have been deployed for search and rescue operations in the affected areas. Meanwhile, 41 injured people are receiving treatment at various hospitals.

Police personnel deployed in Timure, Rasuwagadhi, Syafrubesi, Mailung, Betravati and Haku have also been affected, with some now accounted for and 28 still unaccounted for.
The injured are being treated at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, National Trauma Center, Bir Hospital, Birendra Army Hospital, Grand City, Norvic and Trishuli Hospital, among others.
The Nepal Army said search and rescue operations will continue throughout the night due to the large number of people affected. Eleven ground teams will continue rescue efforts overnight, while a large-scale aerial rescue operation is planned above Timure from Thursday morning.
The Army is also continuing efforts to rescue people trapped inside various tunnels and said it will intensify operations by deploying additional personnel, aircraft and relief supplies in coordination with other security agencies, local authorities and relief organizations.
