KATHMANDU, Oct 7: Thunderstorms, strong winds and hail are likely at different times across many parts of the country throughout the day, according to meteorologist Binod Pokharel.
Pokharel said several areas stretching from Chitwan and Pokhara to Kailali are currently experiencing hailstorms and strong winds.

Although many parts of the country received rainfall on Tuesday, no extremely heavy rainfall was recorded. The Kathmandu Valley, however, experienced a brief spell of heavy rain accompanied by hail.
Pokharel said satellite images clearly show the weather system developing over the affected areas. Local residents have also been sharing updates on conditions in their areas through social media.
As such weather systems can develop rapidly, Pokharel urged people to remain alert to possible thunderstorms, lightning, strong winds and hail.
