KATHMANDU, Jan 22: The CPN-UML has finalized the date and venue for its upcoming Statute Convention.
The convention is scheduled to take place on September 5, 6, and 7, 2025, at the International Conference Center in Godawari, Lalitpur.
The party's secretariat meeting held on Tuesday evening decided to set this date and venue.

With the new date set, the Statute Convention will make significant decisions regarding the party's plans and strategies, UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel stated.
Earlier, the UML had held its Statute Convention in 2021, during which 16 proposals were passed.
Various decisions were taken during Tuesday’s meeting, including ward-centred campaigns will be conducted effectively during the months of Magh (mid-January to mid-February), Falgun (mid-February to mid-March), and Chaitra (mid-March to mid-April). Provincial and district committees will develop plans to mobilize the entire party for the campaign.
Approval of the nomination of provincial committee members by the Gandaki, Karnali, and Contact Coordination Committees, which are yet to be concluded.
The party will hold its Statute Convention from September 5-7, 2025, at the Sunrise Hall in Godawari, Lalitpur, and giving continuity to collaboration with the National Unity Campaign led by Bamdev Gautam.
