The agreement was reached under the mediation of the Nepal Republic Sports Federation -- the sports wing of United Communist Party of Nepal (Maoists). President of the federation Jayandra Chand facilitated the meeting between the concerned parties.
The meeting also decided to forward a proposal to the government to declare the late boxer a martyr. They also decided to set up a fund in Budhamagar´s commemoration and to form a probe committee to find out the facts regarding the incident.
Another agenda to be forwarded by the Sports Ministry to the government is to provide a job to any one member of the victim´s family. The concerned officials also agreed to take necessary initiatives to implement the decisions.
Budhamagar had died on Wednesday after falling unconscious in the men´s 52 kg bout during the Inter-municipal Boxing Tournament in Hetauda.
He was rushed to a local hospital soon after the incident and then referred to Bharatpur Medical College.
He was then taken to the Neuro Hospital in Kathmandu where he passed away a day later. His body will be kept at the Dasharath Stadium on Saturday morning to pay last tributes to the deceased player.
