Balen takes commanding lead over Oli in Jhapa-5

KATHMANDU, March 7: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Balendra Shah (Balen) has taken a commanding lead over CPN-UML chair KP Sharma Oli in Jhapa-5 in the ongoing vote count of the House of Representatives election.



According to the vote count update as of 6:15 PM, Shah has secured 32,336 votes.

Oli is trailing with 8,518 votes. Nepali Congress candidate Mandhara Chimariya has received 930 votes, while Nepali Communist Party candidate Ranjit Tamang has secured 831 votes.


Similarly, Shram Sanskriti Party candidate Samir Tamang has received 5,478 votes.
