Nepali people should not get afraid of the issue of people´s revolt as floated by the Unified CPN (Maoist), he further said, arguing that people´s rebellion will not be suitable to a party having belief on democracy.
Claiming that Maoists have aspired to keep the combatants on own purview for their own security, leader Koirala expressed commitment that the NC will assure security to all the leaders of the UCPN (Maoist).
NC chief Koirala further said since democracy is the only alternative to democracy Maoist´s understanding towards this is weak.
Expressing confidence that the House session beginning from today will elect a new Prime Minister for the country, he urged the CPN-UML, Maoists and other fringe parties to cast vote to the candidate of his party.
Nepali Congress is a party having a strong conviction and compliance with rule of law, he said, making it clear that the parliamentary party leader will only be the candidate for Prime Minister.
NC central member Dr. Ram Sharan Mahat stressed that the Maoist combatants should come under the ambit of Army Integration Special Committee (AISC).
Responding a query, leader Mahat said the Nepal Army (NA) and Maoist combatants in the cantonments will not have similar status.
