SINDHULI, April 3: Ten people were injured, four of them critically, after a microbus and a passenger bus collided along the BP Highway in Sindhuli on Friday.
The accident occurred at Saitar in Sunkoshi Rural Municipality-5 when a microbus (Ba 4 Kha 5052) heading from Kathmandu to Kakarbhitta collided with a bus (Bagmati Province 01-006 Kha 2297) traveling from Khurkot to Kathmandu.
According to District Police Office Sindhuli, the critically injured include the microbus driver, 38-year-old Gaj Bahadur Magar of Lalitpur Metropolitan City-15, 30-year-old Anita Neupane of Mandandeupur Municipality-9 in Kavrepalanchok, 32-year-old Prabin Tiwari, and Prashant KC whose address has not been identified.

Other injured passengers include nine-year-old Sanskriti Yadav and 32-year-old Kalpana Rai of Shivasatakshi Municipality-8, Jhapa; 38-year-old Amesh Khadka of Mechinagar Municipality-13; 22-year-old Amrit Rana Magar of Bhadrapur Municipality-1; and 42-year-old Din Prasad Sigdel of Kachankawal Rural Municipality-7.
They are undergoing treatment at Aatmiya Community Hospital in Khalte.
Police said an investigation into the incident is underway. The bus driver, Suman Subedi of Baiteshwor Rural Municipality-6 in Dolakha, has been taken into custody.
