27 national and four international organisations permitted to observe HoR Election

Election Commission has authorised 27 national and four international organisations to observe the House of Representatives election scheduled for March 5, 2026.

KATHMANDU: Dec 15: The Election Commission has granted permission to 27 national and four international organisations to observe the upcoming election of members to the House of Representatives, scheduled for March 5, 2026.



According to a notice issued by EC, the approved institutions were authorised on Monday to carry out election observation. A total of 44 national and five international organisations had applied following a call for applications in line with the Election Observation Guidelines

The Commission said permission was granted only to those organisations that met the criteria and procedures set out in the guidelines.


Four international organisation that are granted permission are: The Carter Center, Atlanta, USA; The Multidisciplinary Institute of Training and Learning, Massachusetts; ANFREL (Asian Network for Free Elections); and International Republican Institute.
