KATHMANDU, Aug 8: Nepal registered its first victory in the ongoing AFC U-20 Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers with a narrow 1-0 win against Saudi Arabia on Friday.
In the match held at Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu, Bhutan, Nepal dominated from the beginning but had to wait until the 90th minute to break the deadlock. Purnima Rai scored the winning goal with a one-touch finish, securing three crucial points for the team.
