KATHMANDU, Aug 5: Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) is holding an election for its executive committee on August 14.
As of now, two panels have announced their candidacies to lead the umbrella organization of the tourism entrepreneurs. Yubika Bhandari and Jiswan Tuladhar are the main contenders for the post of the NATTA’s president.

Running under the core campaign banner entitled “Experience to understand, Determination to act, Capability to deliver,” the panel of Bhandari features prominent industry leaders, including Krishna Prasad Dhakal, who is contesting the vital position of Secretary General. In an official campaign statement, the panel emphasized that their alliance is not merely a temporary coalition formed for election purposes but a balanced, highly capable, and responsible team ready to address the critical economic and policy issues currently facing Nepal’s tourism sector.
The group’s comprehensive agenda focuses heavily on the modernization of NATTA, prioritizing digital transformation, aggressive global promotion, and strong policy advocacy with government bodies to protect the commercial interests of tour and travel operators.
Likewise, Jiswan Tuladhar team has forwarded Prakash Thapa for senior vice-president and Pragya Sharma as vice-president.
The election will take place alongside the NATTA’s 59th Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be held in Kathmandu.
