Civil servants halt works in Chitwan

CHITWAN, Nov 12: Civil servants working in various government offices in Chitwan district halted their works on Thursday in protest of the state minister´s slapping Parsa Chief District Officer (CDO) Durga Prasad Bhandari on Tuesday.



The agitating employees have vowed to continue protests until the government takes action against the minister.



Government employees´ organizations affiliated to all political parties including Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and the UCPN (Maoist) had taken part in the protest program.
