KATHMANDU, Aug 1: The Sunsari District Administration Office (DAO) has lifted the curfew order in various areas of the district while keeping the prohibitory order in place.
According to an order issued by Chief District Officer Indra Dev Prasad Aryal, the curfew has been lifted today from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Previously, a curfew had been imposed from 9:00 pm on July 28 until further notice.
Although the curfew has been lifted, gatherings of more than five people in designated areas, as well as processions, demonstrations, meetings, assemblies, and sit-ins, remain prohibited under Clause 6(3)(a) of the Local Administration Act, 2071.
The prohibitory order will remain in effect in Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City-16 and 17, Ramdhuni Municipality-1 and 5 within 200 meters on either side of the Mahendra Highway, the entire areas of Inaruwa Municipality and Duhabi Municipality, and the rural municipalities of Bhokraha Narsingh, Koshi, Ghadi, Dewanganj, Harinagar, and Barju.
Until further notice, gatherings of more than five people are not allowed in the designated areas, and all kinds of processions, demonstrations, assemblies, meetings, and sit-ins are prohibited.
