Over 10,000 users here have been hit hard with short supply of water in the headquarters for the past three days.[break]
Woes of denizens of central part of the district have increased when the supply of drinking water from Rupakot area has been obstructed for the past three days.
Water supply has been challenged with the pipes in Mudhe area of Diktel getting dysfunctional, said chairperson of Diktel Bazaar Drinking Water Users Committee, Dhan Kumar Joshi.
Following the water crisis, locals of district headquarters are thronging the ponds and well - far away from their residence - to fetch water.
Users have accused the Committee of being mute spectator of the acute crisis of water for a long time. Local people have urged the Committee to ensure smooth supply of drinking water without making any delay.
House wives have experienced a tough time with the shortage of water. Trouble increased when water tanks in each household remained empty with no water supply for long.
