According to an official of the MoF, an individual earning income of up to Rs 4 million and employed in a single organisation can now receive a tax clearance certificate through an online system. As of now, only entrepreneurs in distinct categories are being provided with the facility.

For this purpose, an individual service seeker has to log in the ‘taxpayer portal’ on the website of the Inland Revenue Department www.ird.gov.np. The concerned individual has to submit a personal account number (PAN), name, password and related details to get the tax clearance certificate without visiting the tax offices, according to the MoF.
