KATHMANDU, Nov 18: Medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai has been arrested on Monday night.
The Kathmandu Valley Police Office has detained medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai from his residence in Bhaktapur. Prasai was taken into custody around midnight on Monday and is currently being held at the Kathmandu Police Range in Bhadrakali, according to police sources.

Prasai, who identifies himself as the coordinator of the “Campaign to Save the Nation, Nationality, Religion and Culture,” had publicly announced plans to intensify protests from November 23. He was arrested while preparing for the announced movement.
Security agencies had been monitoring Prasai closely after he repeatedly issued provocative statements including threats to bring the country to a standstill.
