KATHMANDU, May 2: Moderate rainfall accompanied by lightning and thunder is likely later today in the southern plains of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in a few places of Madhesh Province. Storms and hailstones have also been forecast.
The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) said weather will remain generally cloudy in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, as well as in the hilly and mountainous regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. Partly cloudy conditions are likely in the Tarai region of Sudurpaschim Province.
Light to moderate rainfall predicted today
Tonight, generally cloudy weather is expected in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, while the Tarai belt is likely to remain partly cloudy.
According to the MFD, some places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, along with the hilly and mountainous regions of Karnali Province, are likely to witness moderate rainfall accompanied by lightning, storms and hailstorms.
