Under Rohit Paudel’s captaincy, Lumbini have won one of their four matches, while Kushal Bhurtel-led Pokhara have also managed only one win from three games.
Lumbini are currently seventh on the points table, with Pokhara in sixth. Both teams must win today to keep their playoff hopes alive.
In the afternoon match, Janakpur will meet Sudurpaschim. Janakpur, who remain winless after three games, aim to secure their first victory today. Sitting at the bottom of the table, Janakpur will be eliminated from the playoff race if they lose this match.
Unbeaten Sudurpaschim, on the other hand, have won all four of their matches and sit at the top of the table. A win today will secure their playoff spot. Sudurpaschim will also be looking to avenge last season’s final defeat to Janakpur.
Today’s match is expected to be highly competitive and exciting.
