KATHMANDU, October 15: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Wednesday declined 22.58 points to close at 2,505.58 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,528.16 points and declined to as low as 2,509.9 points in the first 36 minutes. The market witnessed only nominal fluctuations for the next three hours before plunging to the day’s low at 2,499.34 points in the last two minutes.

Only mutual funds added 0.4 points; while remaining 12 groups were the losers. Life insurance shed the largest of 92.98 points.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies declined 2.92 points. The daily turnover however declined to Rs 3.10 billion from Rs 4.97 billion.
Among the individual companies, 40 were gainers while 206 were recorded as losers. Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 205.40 million.
Samaj Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited and Bindhyabasini Hydropower Development Company Limited had the highest fall of 10 percent of their market prices. Samata Gharelu Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited gained the highest of 6.93 percent.
