KATHMANDU, Dec 13: Senior Vice Chair of the CPN-UML and the contender for chairman position Ishwar Pokharel  during the ongoing 11th National Convention has expressed strong reservations over the list of 108 nominated delegates.

According to Pokharel, a secretariat meeting held on Friday agreed that the final list of nominated delegates would be jointly finalized by party chair KP Sharma Oli and Pokharel. A meeting between the two leaders was scheduled for Saturday morning to reach consensus.

However, Pokharel alleged that the list was published unilaterally, contrary to the agreed process. His faction claims that the names released on Saturday reflect only the list earlier proposed by Oli.

Pokharel had presented a separate list on behalf of his group on Friday, with a decision taken to seek consensus between the two submissions. The published list, however, reportedly excluded Pokharel’s proposals, fueling dissent within the party.
