KATHMANDU, Sept 17: The Ministry of Finance has announced 33 winners under its taxpayer incentive gift scheme for August and September, a program introduced in fiscal year 2026/27 to encourage taxpayers to make formal transactions.
The winners were announced today at the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) in Lazimpat, Kathmandu. The announcement for August, originally scheduled for September 1, was postponed due to the Bhotekoshi floods.

According to the IRD, 33 winners were selected, including 31 daily winners of Rs 100,000 each and two bumper prize winners.
The IRD said the 31 daily winners and one bumper prize winner were selected from transactions made between August 17 and August 31 and between September 1 and September 16.
