Deputy Prime Minister Koirala is scheduled to inaugurate a non-government organization established in Zhongzhou of China and attend a program to be organized by the Institute of Himalayan Studies, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.[break]
Talking in brief to reporters at the Tribhuvan International Airport, Deputy Prime Minister Koirala said the visit was not political but focused on intellectual and financial sector.
She also expressed the confidence that Nepal and China would continue to work together in the field of training and research on the basis of mutual cooperation.
Founded at the joint initiative of Xinhua University and South-West University, the Institute of Himalayan Studies works in the field of climate change in the Himalayan region.
The Institute shall also work together with the Institute of Foreign Affairs of Nepal, said Executive Director of the Institute, Tika Jung Thapa, who is also member of the team leaving for China today.
