KATHMANDU, Jan 22: The tenth National Children Theater Festival has commenced from Tuesday. The 10- day theatrical festival, organized by Shailee Theater, was inaugurated by renowned actor and vice chancellor of Nepal Academy of Music and Drama Harihar Sharma amidst a special program held at Kathmandu-based Russian Culture Center.
400 students from different schools are participating in the program and 20 plays will be comprised during the festival. A panel of judges comprising Smriti Dhungana, journalist from Nagarik daily, Puru Lamsal, drama director and artist Saroj Aryal will be evaluating 19 plays for six different categories including best actor, best actress, best play, best director, best debutant and audition choice.
