KATHMANDU, Nov 26: The number of political parties registering in Nepal has continued to rise sharply, especially after the Gen Z-led movement earlier in September.

According to data from the Election Commission (EC), a total of 134 political parties are currently registered in the country.

Before the Gen Z movement, the commission had 122 registered parties. Officials say the formation of new groups following the movement has pushed the number up to 134.
