JANAKPUR, Aug 2: The curfew imposed in Golbazar Municipality of Siraha has been lifted.
In a notice issued on Saturday, the Siraha District Administration Office said the curfew enforced within Golbazar Municipality would be lifted from 7 pm following an assessment of the local security situation.
Curfew lifted in Mahendranagar
According to the notice signed by Chief District Officer Surendra Paudel, the curfew order issued under Section 6(a) of the Local Administration Act, 2028, was withdrawn effective from 7 pm on Sunday.
The administration had imposed the curfew in recent days in response to heightened tensions and security concerns in the area.
The local administration said the decision to lift the curfew was taken after concluding that the security situation had gradually returned to normal.
