Israel opens 1,464 care worker jobs for Nepalis at salary of over Rs 320,000

The Department of Foreign Employment issued a notice on Tuesday inviting applications from Nepali workers under a government-to-government (G2G) arrangement with Israel.

KATHMANDU, Sept 8: For Nepali workers seeking overseas employment, Israel has opened 1,464 positions for care workers to assist people with severe disabilities of all ages at long-term care centers.



The Department of Foreign Employment issued a notice on Tuesday inviting applications from Nepali workers under a government-to-government (G2G) arrangement with Israel.


Of the total positions, 1,132 are reserved for women and 332 for men. Selected workers will receive a monthly salary of NIS 6,443.85, equivalent to around Rs 323,000.

They will be required to work 42 hours a week, excluding overtime.


While employers will provide accommodation in accordance with regulations governing foreign workers, the cost of accommodation will be borne by the workers themselves. Workers will also have to cover their own food expenses after arriving in Israel.


The maximum employment period will be five years, provided the employment contract is extended in accordance with the applicable rules.


Applicants must be between 25 and 45 years old. They must be at least 1.5 meters tall and weigh at least 45 kilograms.


Applications must be submitted online through the Department of Foreign Employment’s web portal within 35 days. The application deadline is October 12.


Applicants must meet specific educational and training requirements. They must either have completed Grade 10 and at least 15 months of study in an Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) or Community Medical Assistant (CMA) program, or have completed Grade 12 or an equivalent level of education along with at least three months of caregiving training from a training institution recognized by the Government of Nepal.


The recruitment is part of Nepal’s government-to-government employment arrangement with Israel, offering selected Nepali workers an opportunity to work in the country’s long-term care sector.
