KATHMANDU, Jan 23: Nepali Congress central member Ajay Babu Siwakoti has demanded the government to make COVID-19 tests free to the citizens.
He drew the attention of the government saying that the general public could not test for COVID-19 due to financial limitations. He stressed the need for ensuring free testing as it would create a big problem in the society if people don’t get tested because of financial reasons.

NC Central Member Siwakoti has demanded the government not to prohibit citizens in public places by making vaccination cards mandatory. "Even those who want to be vaccinated have not yet been able to get vaccines against COVID-19,” he said. “In this situation, making the vaccination card mandatory to enter in public spaces and banning a large number of Nepali citizens to those places is not appropriate.”
